He Other Ether is a visual commentary, executed with candor and curiosity, exploring the tension between the concept of masculinity and the practice of vulnerability.
Having been taught to suppress his emotions, to value logic over instinct, he is unable to fully connect with the depth of his own bodily experience.
Bursting forth in this series is the need to free these wounded aspects of the personality and create a space for intimacy, vulnerability and acceptance.
Inspired by Greek male archetypes, the camera captures the reconciliation between mind and body in this transformation. Invited into the bodily space, the closeness of the lens mirrors both the self-scrutiny and metaphysical expansion felt by the man as his sense of self deepens and encompasses the feminine without fear.
