Dario Verrini is an Italian photographer who lives and works in Paris and NYC. He first picked up his father’s camera when he was 15 and has been photographing ever since.
His career started in advertising working in Milan, London and New York. Here he joined the School of Visual Arts to delve deeper into his passion for photography.
Inspired by masters like Edward Weston, Ralph Gibson, Francesca Woodman and others, Dario works with 35mm black & white film. All images are then printed in the darkroom on high quality fiber paper.
With digital photography now a ubiquitous aspect of our daily experience and communication he has made the conscious choice to use analogue tools and techniques to highlight the physical and material properties of photography and to counteract the speed of living.
